When the water level rises below the screen, an ultrasonic head detects the level and sends a signal via the control panel to start the pump. Once the pump has started, it passes the water through a Venturi which draws air into the flow. Air and water are combined in the mixing section, before entering the strainer basket. The air\/water mixture travels along the underside of the screen, removing debris and preventing screen glare.
