(6 m). The SURE-FLOAT floating regulator has been used for flow control in settling ponds, tailings ponds, sedimentation ponds, stormwater retention tanks, reservoirs and ponds, as well as batch plant effluents, and is well suited to regulating small discharges. The GSF-R-20-* has an inlet diameter of 8 inches (20 cm) with a flow range of 80 to 480 gpm (5 to 30 L\/s). Selection of the SURE-FLOAT model is based entirely on the flow and height range required.<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-137983 kc_row kc_row_inner\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-744818 kc_col-sm-12 kc_column_inner kc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"kc_wrapper kc-col-inner-container\"><div class=\"kc-elm kc-css-660913 kc_text_block\"><\/p>\n<h2>How it works<\/h2>\n<p>The SURE-FLOAT floating regulator maintains a constant flow rate at a set value independent of the upstream water level. The SURE-FLOAT float regulator effectively skims the surface of any installation in which it is placed.The flow rate is based on the floating ability of the float, which controls inlet submergence. The inlet opening features an integrated deflector and weir. This allows solids to be separated without any negative impact on flow. The SURE-FLOAT floating regulator is hinged at the bottom and top of the inlet pipe so that the inlet opening is maintained in a horizontal position for optimum flow control.<\/p>\n<p>Each SURE-FLOAT floating regulator is shipped to site already adjusted and preset to the desired design flow rate. In addition, the setpoint can be modified by adding or removing water from the floats for in situ flow adjustments (if required).
